Attempt Burglary On Cromwell Road

Alert message sent 18/06/2021 16:52:00

Information sent on behalf of Humberside Police

A burglary has been reported in your neighbourhood

Dear Resident,

We have received a report that at approximately 17:00 hours on 16/06/21 an unknown person has tried the front door handle of a property on Cromwell Road Grimsby. Fortunately the door was locked and secure and the suspect did not gain entry to the property and left the area on foot.

Please be aware of this report and ensure you keep your doors locked at all times especially during the warmer weather when you may be in and out of your garden. This is prime opportunity for offenders to try front doors knowing that the occupants may be in the rear garden. Also ensure that any windows are secure and no entry can be gained if you are not in the same room. Sneak-in burglaries generally occur during the summer months due to doors and windows being left insecure.

If you would like any further crime prevention advice or information then please call 101 or contact your local policing team by visiting the Humberside Police website.

Regards

Pcso 7821 Andy Whittaker,
Yarborough Ward,
Grimsby West Community Policing Team, Cromwell Road.
