Information sent on behalf of Humberside Police

This is a message to residents who live within the vicinity of Anlaby Road / Parkfield Drive / Streets off.

Since the end of November there has been an increase in vehicle crime were offenders have entered the front and rear gardens of residential properties in order to gain access to motorcycles/mopeds. Offenders have used unknown means to forced locks and chains that have been used to secure motorcycles and mopeds. Offenders have then made off with victims targetted vehicles.

Please use this email as a reminder for security and consider prevention measures to avoid becoming a victim of crime.
Consider investing in anchor points and un-cuttable chains/padlocks. Also consider where possible, securing vehicles within garages. If in garages and where access to garages is via an up and over door, consider a T-Bar to prevent access.

Additional security measures such as cctv and anti trespass alarms as well as lighting are worth keeping in mind.
If you store your vehicle to the rear of your address, ask yourself.... How easy would it be to access my garden?

For those interested in a security survey being conducted, please feel free to reply to this message and i will try to assist. This will give you an indication of weak spots where offenders may take opportunities and give indications of potential security measures that could be utilised.

Further to the above please remain vigilant. If you see something suspicious please report it

Kind Regards

Steve Clayton
