Trigger Fraud Alert #28 (July 2025) - MARTIN LEWIS Investment Fraud

Dear Resident,

Humberside Police are warning people about a fake Martin LEWIS video that is on social media platforms. Fraudsters have created a Fake AI video of Martin LEWIS endorsing a trading / investment company online.

You will be contacted by a Management Company, an Agency, or Financial Adviser to support you through the process on how to make a payment into the Investment and/or Crypto wallet – “safe wallet”.

They may even ask you to complete a questionnaire or download an app or remote access onto your device to help support you with this investment.

The fraudsters usually move the conversation onto WHATSAPP but can use any lines of communications. They may tell you need to put in a % of £100K and then you will be able to withdraw this amount by end of the year. They may encourage you to apply for an overdraft, borrow money from friends or family, take out bank loans as the returns on the investment are so good you will be able to pay it all back by the end of the year.

If you are told any of these things, please think FRAUD. No reputable investment will ask you to do any of these things.

Once the Scammers believe you have invested all the money you can obtain the FAKE Crypto Websites / Wallets, and all channels of communications will be shut down and deleted.
