The Neighbourhood Network team are pleased to announce their latest FREE Keep Connected webinars scheduled for November and December. The sessions will be run on Zoom and all are welcome. 

Christmas Crime Prevention – Friday 10th December @ 10am - This workshop will be delivered in partnership with Humberside Police’s newly appointed Crime Reduction Officer, PC James Steel.  He will address potential crimes in the lead up to Christmas including, car theft, burglary and fraud and how we can all take small steps to lessen the chances of becoming a victim of crime during this period.

Wildlife in your Communities – Wednesday 1st December @ 10am - This regular session is back by popular demand to address wildlife issues going into the winter season. The session will have a focus on rural crime, but is very attendee led and we welcome questions, photographs and discussion topics beforehand.

Menopaus’ull is a new Neighbourhood Network project supporting women across the region. As part of the delivery, the team have organised 4 new webinars – open to all, however places are limited so please contact us to reserve your place.

Bone Health during the Menopause – Wednesday 24th November @ 7-8pm - Delivered by Professor Natalie Vanicek from the Department of Sport, Health and Exercise Science and Dr Ali Dostan from the Department of Engineering at the University of Hull and Maxine Osgerby from Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.  The webinar will cover the effects of menopause on bone health, what is osteopenia and osteoporosis and what are the risk factors, the role of exercise for bone health and local services offered by the NHS.

Understanding the Menopause – Thursday 25th November @ 7-8pm - Delivered by Kay Merritt, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Women’s Health at City Health Care Partnership.    The webinar will cover body changes during the menopause, signs and symptoms and diagnosis. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions after the presentation.

Managing the Menopause – Thursday 2nd December @ 7-8pm - Delivered by Kay Merritt, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Women’s Health at City Health Care Partnership.  The webinar will cover: lifestyle interventions, cardiovascular health, bone health, alternative and complimentary therapies and HRT.  There will also be an opportunity to ask questions after the presentation.

Cancer awareness; (female focus) – Wednesday 8th December @ 10am - Delivered by Emma Lewin from Humber, Coast & Vale Cancer Alliance.   This session will cover the key facts, statistics, symptoms, and screenings which are linked to several cancers, and will have a focus on women’s cancers.
