Crime Prevention Advice

With the run up to Bonfire Night, Humberside Police are working to try and prevent Anti-Social Behaviour and Arson in your local area.  You may be aware, in previous years there has been a spate of wheelie bin fires within your locality.
Working in partnership with Humberside Fire and Rescue Service, we have listed some information that may be of use in preventing your bin being taken or being set fire to.

Store all wheelie bins safely within the boundary of your property, especially at night.
Do not block doorways or place bins underneath windows
Whenever possible, wheelie bins should be stored securely behind a locked gate or to the rear of your property.
Be aware of when each of your coloured bins are emptied.
Only place your wheelie bin out by 7am on collection day and return it to your property as soon as possible.
Do not overfill your wheelie bins or leave loose rubbish or bagged rubbish around them.
If you have a problem with a collection, report it to Hull City Council. Visit Hull.gov.uk for more information.

Please contact Humberside Police/Humberside Fire and Rescue Service with any information regarding deliberate fires in your area.

DELIBERATE FIRE SETTING IS A CRIMINAL OFFENCE- PLEASE REPORT IT
