Information sent on behalf of Humberside Police

Community Safety News

Today we have been for a walk around Ashby Ville lake, we have given strong words of advice to people who are swimming in the lake and have been told to get out the water.  There are plenlty of NO SWIMMING signs around the lake due to:

- Hidden currents
- Difficult to get out of open water
- Hidden rubbish below the surface
-  No lifeguards or life saving aids
- The water may be polluted with chemicals and may cause illness.

There are a lot of children down swimming in the lake. Please can you keep an eye on your children and know where they are at all times.

Keep safe in this hot weather.
