PRESTON

Sunday April 4

Around 6:25pm tonight, Police were called to a report of a loud bang at the playing field at the rear of Watkinson Close, Preston. A group of boys were seen running off following the noise.

It appears that an aerosol can was the source of the bang with scorch marks to the grass near the goal posts at the other end of the playfield. No damage was found to the play equipment

PCSO Darren Bainton from the Holderness Community Team said “ I urge Parents to speak with their child about the dangers of aerosol cans and the use of them near a fire.”

“The act of lighting an aerosol can or using it as a flame is extremely dangerous, It could lead to severe burns and cause a serious fire”

At this moment we are unaware if any of the group of boys had received any injuries from this incident. If you know anything about who is responsible, please call the Police on 101 with incident log number 412 of 4/4/21
