Neighbourhood Networks CYBERCRIME focus this August

Cybercrime Series - Presented by PC Alistair Kennedy, Cyber Crime Prevent/Protect Officer at Humberside Police

Cybercrime now accounts for more than 50% of all crimes in the UK (National Crime Agency). To find out how you can best protect yourself and your friends/family from becoming victims of cybercrime join us via Zoom to attend any or all 3 sessions listed below.

Cybercrime General Awareness, Thursday 6th August @ 10.30am – This is general awareness session highlights the types of cybercrime and how people can best protect themselves. This session will end with a Q&A.

Cybercrime: Hackers & Social Engineering, Thursday 6th August @ 2.00pm – This session tackles social engineering which is how criminals manipulate people to obtain confidential information, often through social media. This session will end with a Q&A.

Cybercrime: Keeping Young People Safe Online, Friday 7th August @ 2.00pm – PC Kennedy will be raising awareness of potentially harmful situations and discussing how to keep our young people safe online. This session will end with a Q&A.

The above session will be hosted on the Zoom software (www.zoom.us). Please make sure you have downloaded this software onto your device to access the session.  To register your interest please email office@nnetwork.org.uk and the team will then confirm your place by email, with a link to join the session the day prior.
