Safeguarding your vehicle


We as the local Neighbourhood Policing Team for Isle South have been made aware of suspicious circumstances relating to individuals scoping out vehicles at night / in the early hours, in particular Range Rovers. 

There have been two reported suspicious circumstances in West Butterwick in recent days, and a further incident in Belton on Isle Central. 

Please can all members of Isle South take precautions to safeguard their vehicles and not give any would be thieves the opportunity to take your pride and joy. 

  • Place your keys in a faraday bag / box if keyless
  • Lock driveway gates (if you have them)
  • Ensure adequate lighting on your driveway
  • CCTV cameras and signs 
  • Ensure household is locked and secured before going to bed
  • We are working behind the scenes to identify those involved, and at this time we have had no confirmed thefts. We will continue to patrol the area over night.

    Please report any suspicious circumstances to Police on the relevant numbers - 999 in an emergency / 101 in a non emergency.
