Vehicle Seizure: Boating Lake in Cleethorpes

Alert message sent 02/08/2020 21:32:00

Information sent on behalf of Humberside Police

Good News!

Dear Resident,

Although not in Humberston and New Waltham, this is a Ward priority for us all.

On Saturday 01 August 2020 the Police have received a number of calls for service, where there were a large amount of vehicle playing loud music and driving their vehicles in an anti-social manner. We attended the Boating Lake car park and had cause to speak to one driver who unfortunately for him, already had a Sec 59 warning on both him as a person and on his vehicle. As a result the driver had his vehicle seized by Police.

I would like to mention, that when a driver/rider drives his/her vehicle/moped in an anti-social manner then the vehicle will either receive a Section 59 warning, or if they already have a Section 59 warning in place will then have their vehicle seized.

Once this vehicle was seized, we did not receive any further calls for service.

We would like to thank the members of the public who contacted the Police providing us with the correct information in order that we can effectively deal with the issue.

Together let us make our Community a safer place for all.

Kind Regards

Dave
