Youth Drinkers: Haverstoe Park

Alert message sent 16/06/2020 17:14:00

Information sent on behalf of Humberside Police

Local News Update

Dear Resident,

Not to far away...

Scotty and I have attended Haverstoe Park today and had cause to speak to a number of youths who were drinking alcohol despite being 14 or 15 years of age. I appreciate that with the current climate not every young person has returned to school or are doing reduced hours - however underage drinking is not permitted.

Although I am in receipt of all the names of these youths who were drinking today, I would like to request that all parents have a conversation with their teenage son/daughter in an attempt to educate them and prevent any further underage drinking.

Although there is no covenant preventing residents from drinking within Haverstoe Park, there is when it comes to underage drinking.

We will be forwarding the names to the Schools and will be contacting the parents to discuss this issue.

Rest assured that as a local policing team we have stepped up our patrols and will continue to support and deter any form of ASB/crime.

Kind Regards
