Alert message sent 19/02/2020 13:38:00

Information sent on behalf of Humberside Police

An Bogus caller has been reported in your
neighbourhood.

Dear Residents,

please be aware of a call received by one of our NHW coordinators regarding a scam call.

A call was received from someone stating they were acting on behalf of the TSB bank. The caller stated that an unauthorised amount = £600 had been debited from the customer's visa card which took place in another country, he was then prompted to dial T1 to address the issue.

This was checked with the bank who stated that it was a hoax call.

If you receive a call from someone stating that they are speaking on behalf of your bank, please contact them yourselves to verify any previous alleged transactions.

Advice regarding Fraud issues can be reported to Action Fraud - wwwactionfraud.police.uk

Thank you.
