SKIRLAUGH: Church Lane

Alert message sent 13/01/2020 13:21:00

Information sent on behalf of Humberside Police

Unauthorised parking

The Police has received a number of complaints regarding dangerous and inconsiderate parking along Church Lane, Skirlaugh. We understand that since the closure of the SUN INN Car Park has made parking very limited near to the local amenities but it does NOT give the motorist the right to find it acceptable to park across KEEP CLEAR marking or on yellow lines especially when there are kerb markings with upright signs advising restrictions in place.

Parking in places other than off-street parking or bays marked out with white lines could be dangerous and will affect the flow of traffic - even if its for two minutes. Please think before you park and help to keep Our Roads Safe for Everyone.

Enforcement Officer from the East Riding of Yorkshire Council have been notified and Your Community Police will be patrolling the location. We seek your full cooperation in this matter.

Please plan your route well in advance in order to minimise disruption to your journey over the period of the repairs.
