Crime Prevention Advice

Dear Resident,

Suspicious circumstance - Reports have been received in and around the area of Hull to suggest that a white van has been used by persons who are believed to be acting as rogue traders.

Please keep this in mind if visited at your home address by any cold callers who are offering to do work or sell items.
In order to prevent becoming a victim of distraction burglary, please ensure the rear of your address is secured prior to answering the door. This will hopefully prevent your property being entered from the rear by thieves whilst you are occupied talking to visitors to the front of your address.

Additional to this i would suggest that you do not agree to work being carried out by those who are attending on your doorstep but instead, if work is required contact a reputable firm. This will hopefully prevent you from becoming a victim of fraud.

Also please ensure that property of value is locked away and not available to opportunists who wish to help themselves from front/rear gardens.

Kind Regards

Steve Clayton
