Anti-Social Behaviour Alert

Alert message sent 12/03/2019 10:21:00

Information sent on behalf of Humberside Police

Suspicious circumstances reported in your area

Over the last two weeks we have received a number of reports regarding eggs being thrown at residential properties and business premises by (as yet) unidentified males in their late teens in the areas of Laceby Acres, Yarborough Road, Wybers and Laceby village. In some cases they have also posted live crickets/insects through doors or thrown them into shops.

The males are being driven around in a silver coloured, 3 door Volkswagen Polo. Persons from within the vehicle are recording these incidents on mobile phones where we believe the footage may well be then uploaded onto social media. Occasionally the vehicle has also been in convoy with a dark coloured Vauxhall Corsa.

These incidents are causing significant distress to the home owners and business owners involved. It is unclear at this stage as to why they are targeting these particular businesses and individuals. Extensive enquiries are ongoing in relation to these incidents.

If you have any information in relation to those involved or the vehicles involved then please call 101 quoting log 527 of 07/03/19. Likewise, if you know where the footage is uploaded to then also please contact us.
