Information sent on behalf of Neighbourhood Watch

Dear Citizen,

You may have heard the statistics that 1 in 2 of us will be diagnosed with cancer in our lifetime and due to Covid-19 the NHS has seen a reduction in cancer referrals.

The Neighbourhood Network team are hosting a Cancer Awareness workshop on Wednesday 7th April at 10.30am to help raise awareness and bring these issues to the forefront of everyone’s minds.

If you want to better understand and learn about the different signs and symptoms of cancer, then join us online for a friendly and informal chat to become more cancer aware.

Presented by Emma Lewin from the Cancer Champion team at Humber, Coast and Vale Cancer Alliance, this session aims to save lives by promoting healthy lifestyle choices and encouraging early detection of cancer.

This free 90-minute online awareness session teaches people about the key facts, statistics, symptoms, and screenings which are linked to several cancers.

The session will take place online using the zoom software on Wednesday 7th April at 10.30am.

To book your place, e-mail the Neighbourhood Network team at office@nnetwork.org.uk
