Information sent on behalf of Humberside Police

A burglary has been reported in your neighbourhood

Dear Residents,

Although not in Humberston and New Waltham Wards, please be vigilant and report any suspicious activity.

We have received a call for service that between 02:10 am and 02:15 am on Saturday 14 November 2020 an unknown person(s) approached a property on CROMWELL ROAD in CLEETHORPES (between junctions with OXFORD STREET and KINGS ROAD). The suspect(s) has attempted to snap the lock off the rear 'French Doors' in the back garden. The noise had woken up the occupants who have gone downstairs and seen the lock barrel on the floor outside along with the plastic casing from the handle. The inner lock barrel remained inside the door. The suspect did not manage to gain entry into the address and made off prior to police arrival.

There are no descriptions of the suspect(s).

How can you help?
1. Did you see or hear anything during the times above?
2. Would you be able to view your CCTV and see if there is any suspicious activity during the above times?

If the answer is 'Yes' to any of the above, can you please reply to either this alert or call the Police on 101 quoting the investigation number 16/116853/20.
