Poppy appeal collection tin stolen

11 Nov 2020

An investigation has been launched after a callous thief stole a Poppy Appeal collection tin from a property in Main Road, Wyton.

The tin had been placed on a table at the end of a drive by a determined volunteer, who wanted to go on raising money for the appeal without breaching lockdown restrictions.

However, at some point between 4.45pm and 6.30pm yesterday (Tuesday, 10 November) the tin – which is believed to have contained around £40 – was stolen.

If you have information about the incident, or have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area, please do not speculate on social media but get in touch on our non-emergency 101 line quoting incident number 16/115865/20.
