Suspicious circumstances reported in your area

Dear Residents,

A white male, mid 60s, clean shaven, short grey hair, chequered design, cotton long sleeved shirt, thick black coloured belt, tan coloured cargo type trousers with brown shoes has been reported acting suspiciously in the ASHWOOD DR area of HUMBERSTON and since moved to other areas of CLEETHORPES. The Gent is driving a 68 plate silver coloured RENAULT panel van and carrying out random door knocks asking residents if they wish to sell their motor homes, and or buy chain saws, and generators from him. We deem this activity as suspicious and welcome our residents to keep track of this male and if seen please contact us on 101 and quote PIR 16/09338/20, this was initially raised via social media on 18/09/2020 but the vehicle is still active in the Grimsby area.
Do not accept cold callers at your home, ask for Identification card, do not purchase goods no matter how good or cheap they seem, do not let them enter your home, keep your security chain fitted. if in doubt please let us know.

Kind Regards,
Your Local Policing Team
Knoll Street Police Station
