Alert message sent 28/06/2020 13:49:00

Information sent on behalf of Humberside Police

Good afternoon Avenue Ward!
Hope you are all ok and staying safe.   Just a quick roundup of what we've been up to on the Avenue Ward during June.
Burglaries are down on previous months with three reported shed break-ins on Westbourne Avenue and Blenheim Street and an attempt on Victoria Avenue.   A local HMO reported burglary - 2 persons charged with the offences.
Two vehicles broken into one on Perth Street, one on Park Grove.  One male arrested and charged with the Perth Street offence and stolen property recovered.
We have been busy with Operation Galaxy, assisting with several operations across the Avenue Ward area, class A and class B drugs seized from several addresses and arrests made in relation to being concerned in the supply of drugs.  This Operation is still ongoing and hopefully will provide more successful results in the future.   If you know of any drug dealing going on on the area, any addresses where you believe drug dealing is going on please let us know on 101, or report it online.  You can also report anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
We have assisted with housing rough sleepers with the help of Emmaus and Hull City Council and continue to help and support this cause where we can however one adult male was arrested recently from Chanterlands Avenue for persistent begging and repeatedly breaching a dispersal order.
An adult male was also arrested on Chanterlands Avenue after stealing beer from CoOp, after a short foot chase by PCSO's and Patrol enjoyed an evening in the cells and appeared at Court the following day.  Turned out he was wanted for other offences!
An adult female was spotted by PCSO's on Princes Avenue drug dealing, was stopped by patrol on Marlborough Avenue and found to be in possession of a controlled substance.  She will be appearing in court in due course.
All in all a busy June!
