WINESTEAD: Two males arrested

WINESTEAD: Two Males arrested during report of a burglary An occupier of a property detained two males he found removing lead flashing and called the police.

A man and a juvenile were arrested at the scene on suspicion of theft by Officers from the Holderness Policing Team around 4pm on Sunday 10th May 2020.

A long wheel based Ford Transit van containing scrap metal was seized at the scene and sent for forensic examinations along with its contents.

An authorised search at an address in Cottingham uncovered a large amount of power tools, tool accessories and tool boxes which were seized by Officers. All seized property from the search will be examined to try and identify the rightful owners.

The 32 year old Hull man is now charged with theft offences and the juvenile has received a police caution.
