Local News Update

Dear Resident,

Below is our crime information for April 2020.


There were a further eight reports of crime from the date of the last report (24th) to the end of March. These include a shed burglary on Bradford Road and three theft from vehicles at Brampton Way, Belmont Close and Quorn Mews.
Into April, there have been eleven reported crimes to date (21st).

Burglary Dwelling: 1  

Overnight 11th & 12th April items were stolen from a garden and greenhouse at Links Road.

Burglary Business & Commercial: 1    

Between 10th & 12th April, wooden slats and roof tiles were removed from a building on the Light Railway. No entry was made.

Vehicle Crime: 1   

Loose change was stolen from a car parked Belvoir Park Walk overnight 7th & 8th April. 

Criminal Damage: 4    

Wesley Crescent damage to a vehicle.                                                                             
Chichester Road damage to a vehicle.                                                                                 
Wellow Hotel damage to an internal fixture.                                                                        
Thorpe Park damage to the security barrier after it was driven at deliberately.
Other crime include:   

During the evening of 8th April, a male was riding along Chichester Road when he was pushed off his pushbike by an unknown male. This person then rode away on the bike.
A female has been given a cannabis warning after being found in possession of the drug whilst in a car on Kings Road.
Three assaults 
ASB 5                                                                                                                                              

Three reports in relation to motorbikes.
Two neighbour disputes.

Your local Community Policing appreciates the importance of being in the right place, at the right time, for the right reasons to reassure the public, improve public confidence and reduce crime and anti-social behaviour in the area which we all live and work.
We encourage all residents to call and report any issues where they live so that we can deal with any issues and also step up our patrols in the area.
If you feel there are issues in your community that your local Police should be prioritising please inform your local Community Officers or your Ward Councillors.
