SKIRLAUGH: Report of Children using off road motorbikes

Alert message sent 03/04/2020 15:48:00

Information sent on behalf of Humberside Police

Local News

The Police has received several reports of children riding a small Off Road motorbike around the nature area of Lambwath Stream.

We must remind parents that this type of activity is not a form of exercise, that can cause a nuisance to residents and puts the child's safety at risk.

No-one has permission to ride a motor vehicle in this area and it goes against Government recommendations during Covid-19 that you should stay at home unless shopping for necessary items, travelling to and from work if unable to work from home.

Off road motorbikes can only be ridden on privately owned land with the owners permission. A vehicle has to have a valid insurance cover to be moved across a public highway.
