Local News Update


Dear Resident,

Below is this month's crime report for Humberston Ward.

Crime

There have been 52 reported crimes across the Humberston & New Waltham Ward for February. There were 36 reports for Humberston.

Domestic Burglary: 2 

Between 2nd & 3rd February a shed at a property on North Sea lane was entered. Property was removed, but not stolen.                                                                         
Overnight 6th & 7th February patio doors were forced at a property on St Lukes Grove to gain entry. Jewellery was stolen.

Commercial Burglary: 0   
                                                                                                   
Vehicle Crime: 2                                                                                                              

Between 7th & 13th February car keys were stolen from the Audi Garage on Altyre Way. These were later used to steal an Audi car from the premises.                                                                                            
A disabled badge was stolen from an insecure car parked at the Tesco car park on early on 14th February. 

Criminal Damage: 1

Oil was poured over brickwork and driveway of a home on St Lukes Grove causing damage.    
                                                                                                      
Other crimes include:                                                                                                                          
Twenty three shop thefts (four from Spar, two from McColl’s, and the remainder from Tesco.                                                                                                                         
Three assaults.                                                                                                                                    
Two bike thefts, one from Humberston Academy, the other from Tesco.                                                                                     
There have been two reports of ASB:  Thorpe Park YCA on bikes around the park and a neighbour dispute 


Below is this month's crime report for New Waltham Ward.

Crime
There have been 52 reported crimes across the Humberston & New Waltham Ward for February. There have been 16 reported crimes for New Waltham.

These were:                                                                                                                    
Twelve shop thefts, eight from the Co-Op and four from Spar.                                                                                          Two make off without payment for fuel from Toll Bar Service Station.                                              
Two assaults.                                                                                                                        
There has been one report of ASB, which is a neighbourly issue.                                                                                                 
How you can help Your local Neighbourhood Policing Team appreciates the importance of being in the right place, at the right time, for the right reasons to reassure the public, improve public confidence and reduce crime and anti-social behaviour in the area in which we all live and work. We encourage all residents to call and report any issues where they live so that we can deal with any issues and also step up our patrols in the area.
