Local News Update

Dear Resident,

I will send you the crime detail monthly which you will be able to receive via the alert. This is the same report that is sent to Haverstoe Community Forum meeting on a monthly basis.

Haverstoe Community Forum Update for January 2020


There have been twenty one crimes reported in the month of January to date (23rd).

Burglary Dwelling:        

Overnight 5th & 6th January an attempt was made to force entry to a garage at a property on Wesley Crescent. No entry was gained but damage was caused to the garage door.

Vehicle Crime: 4    

On 1st January a car was taken without the owner’s consent following a domestic incident. The car was later damaged after the bodywork was scratched. Overnight 5th & 6th January an insecure car parked on Beaufort Crescent was entered. Sports kit was stolen. Over the same period an insecure car parked on its drive on Park Lane was entered. Property was stolen from the boot which was later recovered nearby. During the early hours of 8th January a car was entered on Quorn Mews. Property was stolen.                                                                                                                                                                                                                  
Criminal Damage: 6     

Beech Way house window smashed. Pine Court paint thrown over a car. Alvingham Avenue lump of concrete thrown through a car windscreen. Wellow Hotel windscreen wipers snapped off a car. Middlethorpe Road damage caused to a car by scratching the bodywork. Domestic related damage to property within the home.
Other crime include:    

3 x Assaults.
3 x shop theft.
4 x public order offences.
ASB x 5 

All these were on the Meridian Point complex.

Your local Community Policing appreciates the importance of being in the right place, at the right time, for the right reasons to reassure the public, improve public confidence and reduce crime and anti-social behaviour in the area which we all live and work.
We encourage all residents to call and report any issues where they live so that we can deal with any issues and also step up our patrols in the area.
