Assistance from residents

Alert message sent 27/11/2019 14:04:00

Information sent on behalf of Humberside Police

An arson has been reported in your

Dear resident last month we received 2 reports of Arsons in and around the Hardys Rec playing field involving a group of youths, police are looking in to this and have stepped up patrols in the area so please don’t be alarmed if you see more of us.
They were small fires and quickly under control but this is a concern due to the risk to the youths themselves and the safe use of the area by residents.
We need assistance from residents to report any suspicious activity and if possible secure and remove any items that can be used to start a fire such as bins and wood, we are aware this is not always possible. Please remove bins from the footpath as soon as possible after they are emptied and do not put them out days before collection if this can be avoided.
We have contacted Humberside Fire and Rescue to see if they can assist us in the area, and will consider the education of youths involved in such activities.
Kind regards
Your Neighbourhood Policing team.
