Local News Update

Dear Residents,

We know many of you are concerned following reports of a number of break-ins in the area. Our priority is keeping you safe, so please rest assured that we’re doing all we can to identify the people who are responsible and put them before the courts. There are numerous covert measures in place, which we cannot discuss openly for obvious reasons and we are following up a number of lines of enquiry, as well as sharing information with our colleagues in forces across the country.

We also have uniformed officers deployed to the area throughout the day and night, both to continue our investigation and act as a deterrent to would-be thieves. It’s been proven time and time again that one of the most effective measures in tackling this kind of offending is by working together, so we’re also appealing for you to let us know if you see or hear anything suspicious.

Maybe you’ve spotted a vehicle that suddenly seems to be around all the time but doesn’t belong to any of your neighbours? Have noticed people going door-to-door or noises when it’s usually quiet? If there’s anything that doesn’t seem right, please let us know. We’re also here to offer help and advice on protecting your home and vehicles, as there are lots of things you can do that don’t cost much but could make a burglar think twice.

You can have a look on our website or speak to one of our team when you see them out and about.

I have already put a post up on Facebook, however if you can make your family/friends aware that would greatly appreciated.

We are here to support each other and prevent offences from taking place in the first place.

Kind Regards
