Information sent on behalf of Humberside Police

A burglary has been reported in your neighbourhood

Dear Residents,

A burglary has been reported to Police at a property in The Cloisters, Humberston. It is believed the burglary took place either on 13/14th November while our resident was on holiday. Entry was gained via smashing the back door in, and a untidy search conducted in all rooms, with cash, jewellery and other items taken, offenders then make off back towards Church Lane. Unknown description of suspect/s.

Are you planning on a winter break? are your neighbours currently on holiday? Are you looking after a friends home?
Please reply to this message if you have an upcoming holiday and we can discuss some actions Humberside Police maybe able to implement while you are away to better protect your home.

Tell tale signs the home was unoccupied was a pile of mail in the letter box with undelivered parcel left outside the property. Please arrange with your delivery companies to hold any parcels while you are away, ask your friends/family, to turn random lights on, closing curtains at night, and opening them during daylight hours.

Investigation 16/125401/19 refers

Kind Regards,

Your Community Policing Team.
