A burglary has been reported in your neighbourhood


Dear Resident.
There have been four burglaries reported to the Police in Waltham. All of them occurred between the hours of 9am and 7pm yesterday (Thursday 14th November) when most people are at work. All of the properties were targeted from the rear of the properties.
The method used in gaining entry to the properties was remarkably similar as below,
Method used
Using a tool attacks the secure rear window frame forcing the window open. Gains entry inside and carries out an untidy search of the property leaving as they entered after stealing cash and jewellery.
Method used
Gain access by smashing a rear window. Untidy search conducted of rooms, bedroom drawers and wardrobes thoroughly searched, £800 in cash stolen and a large quantity of jewellery.
Method used
Approach property from the rear, smashed the glass in the rear door to the property, untidy search of the property and stolen jewellery.
Method used
Persons have approached property from the rear smashed through the upvc conservatory door.  Once inside have opened drawers and cupboards in two bedrooms. Stolen £2500 in cash and jewellery.
Now might be a good time to review your own levels of security around your home.
