Burglary on Prunus Avenue

A burglary has been reported in your neighbourhood


Officers are carrying out enquiries in the Willerby area today, Saturday 28 September, following reports of a burglary at an address on Prunus Avenue in the early hours of this morning. 

Detective Inspector Andy Robinson said: “We have received a report from a woman that she awoke to find a suspected burglar in her house. 

“The woman was not injured but was left shaken by the encounter, she is being supported by officers whilst investigations are underway. 

“We are carrying out enquiries to establish the circumstances of the incident and have teams in the area today. 

“We ask anyone that saw anything suspicious or has any information that may help our enquiries to get in touch. 

“I would also like to take this opportunity to remind local residents to take steps to protect your home. Make sure doors and windows are closed and locked before you go to bed and turn on any alarms or CCTV cameras that you have.”
