Information sent on behalf of Humberside Police

Good News!

Correction to the message previously sent about the arrests of two after the Market Place disturbance last night.

A man and a woman were arrested and charged and not two men.

Our statement now reads:

Two people were arrested yesterday evening after we were called to a disturbance in the Market Square in Cleethorpes.

It was reported to us that the pair were threatening members of the public in the street with a knife, shopping baskets and beer kegs.

The two were taken into custody and they have now been charged.  Michaela Hampson (40) and Nicholas Dalton (26) both of no fixed abode, have been charged with using threatening behaviour and possession of an offensive weapon.

Both are due to appear before Grimsby Magistrates Court today.
