Theft from Motor Vehicle

Alert message sent 24/07/2019 08:39:00

Information sent on behalf of Humberside Police

A vehicle crime has been reported in your neighbourhood

Good Morning,

Can I remind you all that no matter how small and insignificant items left in your vehicle may be, thieves will target you if its made easy for them.

This is the method used in a Theft from motor vehicle that happened near to your home in the last couple of days,

" Using unknown implement smash passenger front window, reach in and remove loose change left underneath a hat on front passenger seat. Make off in unknown direction"

Loose change only a couple of pounds but it has led the cost of repairing the window along with the inconvenience of no vehicle and having to have it repaired.

Please take note of previous comments from our Community Inspector Stephenson,

Inspector Dave Stephenson, from the Grimsby East Neighbourhood team said: “These criminals are opportunists and are on the look-out for easy targets, so it’s just not worth the risk of leaving anything where it can be seen.
