Vehicle Crime

Alert message sent 10/07/2019 17:00:00

Information sent on behalf of Humberside Police

A vehicle crime has been reported in your neighbourhood

Hello Kingswood Residents

I am writing to let you know that in the old King's Park Ward area which does include the new Kingswood ward area there have been a number of theft from vehicles from within this area.  There have been a number of different techniques used to break into these vehicles from simple trying doors to establish if vehicle is left insecure or using objects to smash windows to gain access.

There has been 2 people arrested and charged with the offence of theft from a motor vehicle and other offences at this time on the area and there are also 2 more suspects which we would like to speak to in relation this type of offence on Kingswood.

I would like to take this time to ask you to be extra vigilant in relation to making sure you are making it as hard as possible for this to happen on the area you live.
Please do a physical check to make sure your vehicle is secure, remove all valuables so there is nothing to attract any offenders, make sure you secure your property to prevent Hanoi Burglaries (where offenders enter a property to get the keys for the vehicle).

Thank you in advance for you help in trying to prevent this kind of crime
