Theft From Motor Vehicles

Alert message sent 09/07/2019 14:01:00

Information sent on behalf of Humberside Police

A vehicle crime has been reported in your neighbourhood

We have recently experienced an increase in "Theft From Motor Vehicles" in the Croft Baker Ward area. Our advice to you is to ensure that you keep your vehicles locked, whether they are on your drive or on the street. Make sure you do not leave any valuables or any other item on display in your vehicle, always lock them out of sight in the boot. If your glove box is empty, leave it open so that any potential thieves can see that there is no reason to break into your vehicle to look for anything.

For commercial vehicles, we suggest you remove all tools from the vehicle and have a sign on it stating that there are no tools left in the vehicle overnight.

If you see anyone acting in a suspicious manner, report the incident to the Police. Our patrols are intelligence led, without the Intel, we will not know about any trends that are taking place in your area. You are our ears and eyes on the street.
