Closure Order - Goole

Alert message sent 30/05/2019 11:41:00

Information sent on behalf of Humberside Police

Good News!

A Closure Oder has been granted for an address on Kent Road, Goole.

Our Neighbourhood Policing Team have been working with East Riding Yorkshire Council to secure the closure order for the address.

The order was granted through the courts to prevent anti-social behaviour, disorder, nuisance and criminal behaviour in and around the property.

The terms of the order mean that 52 Kent Road (including the associated communal front and rear gardens) will remain closed for a period of three months prohibiting access to all persons, except the tenant, her child and employees, agents or subcontractors of East Riding of Yorkshire Council.

If you witness any anti-social behaviour in or around the address, or see anyone other than the tenant and/or her child, entering 52 Kent Road please report it by ringing 101.

Anyone attending at the property would be in breach of the terms of the closure order and if convicted could face a potential jail sentence of up to 51 weeks.

We are committed to working with other agencies to support the local community and would ask that anyone witnessing anti-social behaviour in the area should call us on 101 to report it.

It should be noted that the issue of a closure order on any rented property is an absolute ground for the instigation of tenancy enforcement proceedings which can include eviction.
