Man charged with breach of Criminal Behaviour Order

Alert message sent 12/05/2019 15:42:00

Information sent on behalf of Humberside Police

Good News!

A man has been charged today (12th May 2019) for breaching his Criminal Behaviour Order after he allegedly went into an area he was excluded from within the Town Centre area.

A Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) can be given by a court to people who commit crimes as well as cause anti social behaviour. It can exclude people from an area where they are causing issues, or order them not to act in a way that is causing the problem. They are used to give the police more options, such as arrest and prosecution, to tackle repeated reports of anti social behaviour or crime.

Many thanks to the people in the community who helped us get the CBO in place, and are helping us use it effectively to tackle anti social behaviour in Scunthorpe Town Centre.
