PRESTON: Playing field equipment severely damaged

An arson has been reported in your
neighbourhood.


sometime between 11:30pm on Saturday 6th April to 9:30am on Sunday 7th April 2019 the outside play equipment on Preston Playing field, Addision Road, Preston was severely damaged by an arson attack.

The popular "Ship" play slide and climbing frame was attacked with an unknown ignition which has caused all the plastic to melt, the surrounding grass was also burnt during the incident. The play equipment  is damaged beyond repair and will be closed for sometime due to safety reasons.

If you witnessed anything suspicious around this time or in the area OR know who is responsible, Please call 101 and quote Police Investigation number 16/45047/19

This incident has clearly upset the community as it is an asset for the area.
