Information sent on behalf of Humberside Police

Crime Prevention Advice

Over the past couple of days we have had a number of reports of mobile phones being taken from the hands of their owners as they walk along the street using them. Offenders are usually on a moped and leave the scene at speed. Newland Avenue and Cranbrooke Avenue have seen these types of offences. Please be mindful of your surroundings especially when wearing earphones and keep phones in pockets and bags if at all possible. Anyone with information about these offences should ring 101.
