Bude Park is under a regeneration which includes a new water pool being developed an upgrade to the equipment which includes 5 new football pitches by sports England and a new pavilion. The development is being done under 2 different developers.

Issued 01 June 2026

Bude Park is under a regeneration which includes a new water pool being developed an upgrade to the equipment which includes 5 new football pitches by sports England. The development is being done under 2 different developers. As the work originally started, we received numerous logs for ASB / criminal damage.
A pop lite was completed and several of the youths have been identified and will/have receive a joint visit from Police and HCC ASB Team to discuss their behaviour and have been placed on the tier list. The others are yet to be identified.

Update 26/07/2024
A log check for general ASB and road related offences for July for the park (01/07/2024 – 26/07/2024) only show 2 incidents for the park. 2 TSU cameras have been installed that cover the play area and development site.

Update 30/09/2024
There have been a few logs in relation to Bude Park primarily these have been ASB youths on roof of the warden building and a lot of the logs have been called in by the building security staff phoning in about youths pushing the fencing over. There has been a Arson incident which has been filed and council parks team have send banning letters..

Update 23/11/2024
Regeneration of the splash pool are completed and open to the public. The ongoing development of 5 new football pitches are still under development. I have done a log check for the area going back to 01/10 and nothing recorded also Power BI checked and no occurrences for the park.

This will continue to be monitored whilst work continues.

Update 31/01/2024
The regeneration is continuing, no recent reports of any issues.

Update 24/03/2025 – The development of the park continues only 1 known log in relation to intruder to the development site of the pavilion. New football pitches are now going to be

fenced in with a 1m high fence which will hopefully give it further protection.

update 02/01/2026

Update 27/01/2026
There has been some concerns raised by residents in relation to how much water will be held by the sustainable urban drainage systems (SUDS). To re-assure residents there is a pumping mechanism in place which triggers when water reaches a certain level. There is signage to state deep water.

Update 01/04/2026
Risk assessment has been completed in relation to ‘deep water’ signage and proposal for a lifebuoy. Due to damage the original signage has been removed and more appropriate signage to be investigated.

update 02/05/2026
Further works are continuing on Bude Park itself we continue to monitor

Issued 02 May 2026

The Local NPT have applied for funding which has been granted to complete an initiative at selected streets which have been found identified as being at risk from using current and historic police data.

The target hardening will be done on event days using both police and other partner agencies.

Update 16 November 2023 we held our first initiative day on Airdale, Hull and several streets on Newtondale, Hull. In total we visited 250 properties in total leaving numerous target hardening items.

We are currently planning the second day for this event which will hopefully take place in February/March 2024

Update 25 January 2024: Phase 2 of 6 has now been planned and will be concentrating on finishing Nidderdale and Jendale..

Update 29 July 2024: Phase 2 was completed on Jendale. We have enough products currently to roll out phase 3 and this is provisionally booked for the 21 September 2024. We can also announce that we have been successful in applying for further funding so will be able to continue rolling out our burglary prevention initiative with all our partner agencies.

Update 22 October 2024: We are now re-ordering new stock of items and will start to plan the next phase of this initiative. Due to other operations and events over the next couple of months - Halloween, Bonfire night (op topaz) and the Christmas Season (op Yuletide) there will be more phases this year but will start again in 2025

Update 04/09/2025 -
On 27th August we continued our crime prevention initiative on Cotterdale, Coverdale, Calderdale and Cheviotdale. We will continue with this our next date being 15/09/2025.

Update 18/09/2025 -
On 15/09/2025 we continued to do door knocking in relation to this priority on Waterdale / Weardale and Willowdale

Update 01/12/2025 –
Over November & December we are on our operation Topaz (bonfire night / Halloween) and Yuletide (Christmas) so we will revisit this long term project in 2026.

update 02/01/2026
We have now visited most streets on Sutton Park with only a few streets to complete. We are currently review our target hardening stocks and will continue once products are acquired.

update 27/01/2026
