Local Priority Issues

Priority Action taken

Speeding and Road Traffic Offences continue to be raised as concerns to the local community.

Issued 11 June 2026

Officers continue to conduct speed checks in the area to tackle these concerns. We have and will issue education, warnings and enforcement to offending vehicles. We have visited some local rural areas to do speed checks with the pro-laser and we will also be looking at working with ERYC to consider further potential traffic calming measures Special Constables also support our efforts in addressing these issues, along with volunteers in the local Community Speedwatch groups who also monitor traffic.

Actioned 11 August 2026

Members of public are reporting allegations of people producing, dealing and selling illegal drugs in the community.

Issued 11 June 2026

Officers will continue to develop intelligence from information reported by members of public. This will help officers deal with drug supply and use. We will take positive action such as stop searches and conducting warrants when it is lawful to do so. We will endeavour to bring offenders to court and make referrals to support agencies for substance misusers.
