ASB We continue to see anti social behaviour incidents around the whole of Withernsea, there is no specific area, it occurs on residential streets and around the arcades on Memorial Avenue. We have numerous youths and 1 adult banned from the Arcades through the summer. The ban is given by the Arcade with the length of ban decided by them, we then deliver and explain to the individual. What is Anti-Social Behaviour? Antisocial behaviour (ASB) is any conduct that has caused or is likely to cause harassment, alarm, or distress to any person. It comes in many forms of behaviour that provoke a range of responses, from mild annoyance to overwhelming fear and insecurity. Incidents may be isolated or within a pattern of behaviour, and ASB can have a devastating effect on the lives of people and their communities. Issued 03 August 2026	Update - On going initiatives for ASB: new. Acceptable Behaviour Contacts- we currently have 4 youths on ABC’s – this follows on from Fairway letters and visits to the addresses of those involved in ASB, where the behaviour continues. This is a voluntary contract between the family, Police, and council. Each one is individual to the named youth. Community Protection Order – there are 2 young adults (over 16, under 18) who continued with ASB within the town which has resulted in them been placed on a CPO. Each one has several individual conditions in place, which can result in a court visit if breached. NPT are still working with the Arcades within Withernsea to reduce Anti-social behaviour in the area, anyone found to be causing issues will be banned from the area by the Arcades, with support from the NPT. We also work closely with the ASB officer from East Riding Council, together in the last month several Fairway letters have been sent to parents / guardians to informing them of ASB involving their child, where, when, what happened and who they were with. These are often alongside visits to home address or invites to discuss issues at the police station. Fairways can also be used for adults. · New incidents of ASB are emerging in various locations · Different youths now causing issues at arcades on Memorial Ave · Aldi reporting emerging issues, banning letters already issued with NPT support · Kirkfield Flats issue was resolved temporarily when suspect was in prison but he back out now. · Reports of e scooters/bikes has increased, separate priority Actioned 03 August 2026
E-Scooter / Bike Use Issued 03 August 2026	· Residents and councillors are telling us that this issue is getting worse and people are concerned someone will get hurt · Intel is being received and developed around the use of e-bikes. Locations of bases, potential for drug related transport. · Issue has emerged too late to take advantage of Yellowfin week of action but I am making enquiries for a smaller team to be put together and have a day in Withernsea Actioned 03 August 2026
