Appeal for Animal Welfare Act Offence

We are currently investigating an Animal Welfare Act offence which occurred between the following times, 17:30 Friday 18th September to 11:00 Saturday 19th September 2026. This occurred on Appleton Road.

The victim’s cat, Max has been missing since Monday 14th September.

Between the stated times, Max’s tail has been posted through his owners’ letter box. We are appealing for any information that could lead to assisting us finding the person(s) responsible for committing such a crime. We understand how distressing this has been for the owners and we are conducting multiple lines of enquires as the investigation is ongoing.
