We have been liaising with Anglian Water regarding this incident and would like to reassure the community that the water supply being used by fire crews is independent of the water network currently affected in the Scunthorpe area. As a result, our firefighting operations will not impact Anglian Water's work or local water supplies.

We ask that members of the public avoid the area to allow emergency services to carry out their work safely and efficiently.

Residents in the vicinity are also advised to keep their doors and windows closed due to smoke in the area.
