Crime Alert - Theft of a Vehicle

Dear Resident,

We have had several reports of people attempting to steal vehicles off of driveways in the area where you live. Unfortunately, on once occasion, a vehicle has been stolen.

To reduce the risk of your vehicle being stolen, please read through the below advice -

Keep your vehicle locked at all times

Make sure your vehicle alarm is set if it has one.

Consider using a steering wheel lock, we recommend Secured by Design accredited products.

Don't leave your keys or fobs where they can be easily found.

If your vehicle has keyless entry, use a faraday pouch to prevent a relay theft.

Park your vehicle in a garage if you can, or in a secure location.

If you have CCTV, park your vehicle where it will be covered.
