Help Humberside Fire and Rescue Service During the Hot and Dry Weather |
||
|
Hi Resident
The weather is very dry at the moment, which means fires can start easily and spread quickly.
Just one spark can cause a serious fire. These fires can harm wildlife, damage the environment and put nearby homes and businesses at risk.
You can help keep people and wildlife safe, and reduce unnecessary call outs for our firefighters, by following these simple fire safety tips:
โ Take your litter home or put it in a bin. Glass bottles and cans can reflect sunlight and start fires. ๐ซ Please do not light bonfires while the weather is so dry. ๐งบ Take a picnic instead of using a disposable BBQ. ๐ฌ Make sure cigarettes are fully out before putting them in a bin. ๐ Never throw cigarette ends from a vehicle. Dry grass can catch fire very easily. ๐ If you see a fire, call 999 immediately.
By taking a little extra care, we can all help protect our communities and reduce preventable fires. Please share this message with family and friends to help spread the word. Thank you for your support. | ||
