Burglary updates

Dear Resident,

I sent a message out in June pointing out that a third of all burglaries in the North East Lincolnshire area are committed where entry has been gained through and unlocked door or an open window.

We are still seeing burglaries taking place with entry being gained as above.

This message is just a reminder to ensure that your external doors are locked even when you are in the house, and that your windows are closed when you aren't in a room, and especially don't leave ground floor windows open over night.

Most of the burglars in this area are opportunist, and are looking for unlocked doors and opened windows, so please don't make it easy for them.
