Humberston & New Waltham Crime Data: June 2026

Dear residents, please find crime data update for June 2026- I want to share and celebrate that last month across the wards saw a slight seasonal decrease in crime but still remains low in the area which could not of been achieved without all the work of you the community, our partners and the local policing team do on a daily basis. 

Crime Headlines:
There were fifty-one reported crimes across the Humberston & New Waltham Wards for June 2026 although much of the demand has been in our other Ward Haverstoe this month which has resulted in additional patrols from your local team and other resources in the affected areas. 

On 8th June 2026, two vehicles were set on fire and believed to have been deliberately ignited on WELLINGTON AVENUE, NEW WALTHAM. The investigation is ongoing and enquiries are ongoing to ID involved persons, if you have any information, please call 101 and quote reference 26*78541. 

On 18th June 2026, unknown suspects entered an insecure caravan park on ANTHONY’S BANK ROAD, HUMBERSTON. Suspects were disturbed by the owner and fled the scene. Police enquiries are ongoing around this matter, if you have any information, please call 101 and quote reference 26*83957.

On 26th June 2026, suspects entered an insecure property on CONINSTON CRESCENT, HUMBERSTON and took keys to a vehicle before making off with the vehicle. Police enquiries are ongoing around this matter, if you have any information, please call 101 and quote reference 26*88696.

Our priorities moving forward in June/July 2026 period will be focusing on Anti-Social Behaviour, Burglary and other Community related issues.  

Crime:                                                                                                                       
Twelve reports of low-level assaults.                                                                                                                           
Nine reports of Harassment.                                                                                                        
Eight reports Criminal Damage. 
No reported vehicle related offences. 
Eight reported shop thefts from Tesco / Co-Op / Spar in New Waltham & Humberston.
Five reports of Burglary    

ASB:
There have been ten reports of ASB incidents across both villages:
Five reports of vehicle related ASB across HUMBERSTON & NEW WALTHAM
One report of environmental ASB in HUMBERSTON
Three reports of neighbour related ASB in NEW WALTHAM/HUMBERSTON.
One report of Vagrancy/Begging related ASB in HUMBERSTON

Your local Neighbourhood Policing Team appreciates the importance of being in the right place, at the right time, for the right reasons to reassure the public, improve public confidence and reduce crime and anti-social behaviour in the area in which we all live and work.
