Would you know what to do if a fire started in your home?

Being prepared - can save lives.

🔥 In the event of a fire:

Get out, stay out and call 999 immediately

Do not stop to collect personal belongings

Never go back inside once you’re out

✅ Be prepared – it makes all the difference

Fit smoke alarms on every level of your home

Test them regularly to make sure they are working

Plan and practise your escape route with everyone in your home

A working smoke alarm is one of the easiest ways to protect everyone in your home, giving you vital time to escape in the event of a fire.

❤️ Support after a fire

We understand that a fire in your home can be a deeply distressing experience.

We work in partnership with the British Red Cross, who support people affected by fires and other emergencies. Their trained volunteers provide:

Immediate practical support, including clothing and refreshments

Help arranging temporary accommodation

Support with contacting insurers and utilities

Emotional support during recovery
