Excess Speed Main Street, Burstwick

Good afternoon, 

In response to communication from your Parish Council and several individual complaints about the speed of vehicles on Main Street, Burstwick in the vicinity of MM Band Services, I had opportunity yesterday, to set up a speed check in that area. 

The average speed was higher than we would like to see, with the majority of vehicles in excess of 30mph, albeit only by 2 to 3 mph. There were of course a couple of exceptions, and they were stopped and dealt with. 

I do appreciate your concerns, and either myself or one of my colleagues will return to the area when time allows. I am also intending on discussing the road with a senior road safety engineer from East Riding Council, who has already supplied me with the telemetry data for the stretch of road in question.
