Burglaries - Camerton, Thorngumbald and Hedon

During the early hours of this morning Friday 10th April 2026 we received several calls for service in the Camerton, Thorngumbald and Hedon area.    

So far, we have a confirmed house burglary, one attempted house burglary and one garage burglary.   It is possible that more will come to light as people get up and check their own properties.     

We would like to request that anyone with CCTV/recording doorbells check their footage for anything suspicious.   The time range we have narrowed down at the moment is 02:45-05:25. 

We have three people in custody after a vehicle was stopped leaving the area.  

Enquiries are ongoing and officers will be in the affected areas throughout the day.
